Philippians 4:6-7 is a familiar portion of scripture that brings great comfort to believers. Here are Paul’s words in the New Living Translation. “Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. 7 Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus.”
Paul exhorted the Philippian believers, as well as us, to leave all our worries and concerns with Jesus in prayer. We are to tell God what we need and then thank Him for things we know God has done and provided for us in the past. How will that help with our worrying? Reviewing in our mind all the blessings God has given makes us realize that what we have is His and He has caused all things in our lives to work together for 
good. Perhaps we cannot see it right now, but we have to trust His promise in Romans 8:28 “And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them.” Reviewing the circumstances of our lives, the ups and downs, the narrow escapes, the blessings of each day, the miracles done on our behalf causes us to thank God. Knowing He has provided in the past and will in the future gives us hope and creates thanksgiving in our hearts. The end result is what Paul proclaimed- PEACE! The peace Jesus brings in such situations is all from Him, it is encompassing and beyond description.
Are you worried, frustrated, consumed with grief or depression? Turn to God in prayer with thanks in your heart, think about God and all He has done for you, and you will find peace. If your circumstances are difficult and you struggle to find earthly thanks then turn your thanks to God for your spiritual blessings. You are loved by God, saved, have a home in heaven, are a saint and loved child of God, you are redeemed and freed from the penalty of sin….. Your spiritual blessings are eternal and no one or nothing here can change or corrupt them. Give thanks and His peace will come upon you.

How do you pray for others believers when you hear they are struggling, being persecuted, or have the desire to live and walk with Jesus each day? Paul gives us some guidelines for these prayers in Ephesians 1:15-19.
Today as you pray for others, let Paul’s guidelines of prayer for his fellow believers in Ephesus be on your mind. Give thanks for them, then ask God to give them wisdom, discernment, growth in truth and and understanding of who God is. Remember the words from James 5:16b ” The earnest prayer of a righteous person has great power and produces wonderful results.” Pray earnestly for your fellow believers and watch God work in their lives and in yours.
Having an attitude of gratitude is what Paul is talking about in Colossians. He commends us to be filled with Christ and be used to bless each others lives with thankful hearts. The ministry we have with each other is to be done with thankfulness because we are being representatives of Jesus to each other. That is a staggering thought that God considers me to be Jesus’ representative when I talk with my neighbors, greet strangers, do my job at work and talk with my family day to day. Our Jesus ‘face’ is not just for Sunday or when we desire to be like Him but all day every day. Paul is teaching us that everything we say and do reflects on Jesus. His final words in this passage are that we should thank God for all these opportunities.
Your giving causes needs to be met and the receiver to be thankful = glorifies God.
Daniel 2:20-23 gives Daniel’s praise to God after having received the interpretation of King Nebuchadnezzar’s dream. Daniel and all the wise men of the kingdom were going to be killed if the meaning of the King’s dream was not revealed. Upon receiving the King’s death threat, Daniel went to his believing friends in the palace and asked them to pray concerning this mystery asking God to reveal the meaning of the King’s dream so they might be saved. Here is Daniel’s response after God revealed the dream’s meaning to him in a vision. 
Do you know who God is? Do you praise Him for His glorious character and for how He has kept all His promises? Try incorporating praise for who God is into your prayers today. List His attributes so you can think about Him as you pray. The more we love and know God the greater our trust in Him will be.
I pray the joy of the Lord will be yours as you worship our creator, caretaker, good, loving, faithful, eternal and Almighty God.
Do you have special friends that come along side you and support you day in and day out? If so, let them know how you appreciate them this week. Send an email, call, send a card or go for a visit and tell them how much they mean to you. Give thanks this week for friends and pray for them.
As Paul begins his first letter to the Corinthian church, he introduces himself and then proceeds to tell them why he is thankful for them and their faithful witness for Jesus. Walk with me through 1 Corinthians 1:4-9 and put yourself in the place of a receiving Corinthian believer and see what Paul is saying to you too.
May this November be a time of renewal and praise for you as you consider Christ and all He has done and given you to keep you strong for Him. May it overflow to others daily as you give thanks and serve Him.

Paul was talking about people who did not believe in God, who refused to believe He exists and how it effects their thinking and future.
