Happy New Year! 2018

Can you believe another New Year is upon us?  What do you need today for your new beginning?  Here are a couple of passages that always inspire me when I begin something new.

Lamentations 3:21-23   “But this I call to mind,  and therefore I have hope:   The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases;  his mercies never come to an end;  they are new every morning;  great is your faithfulness.”   These verses reassure me that each day and year is a new beginning.  We do not need to face yesterday’s troubles today without hope.  He promises His mercies and love are unending with each new day.  God is ever faithful.

Isaiah 40:28-31    “Have you not known? Have you not heard?  The Lord is the everlasting God,  the Creator of the ends of the earth.  He does not faint or grow weary;  his understanding is unsearchable.   He gives power to the faint, and to him who has no might he increases strength.   Even youths shall faint and be weary,  and young men shall fall exhausted;   but they who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength;  they shall mount up with wings like eagles;  they shall run and not be weary;  they shall walk and not faint.”     These verses show us God is in control and knows all things.  He will give us the power and strength we need when we feel faint or weary.  God will renew us and keep us walking forward with Him!

new yearI pray that as you start 2018 you have Hope in your heart, assurance of God’s unending love and mercy and are comforted knowing He will be your strength and guide.  Let the New Year begin remembering Deuteronomy 31:6  “Be strong and courageous. Do not fear or be in dread of them, for it is the Lord your God who goes with you. He will not leave you or forsake you.”

Praising God for a New Year and  a New Beginning,

Linda
