“LORD, you have assigned me my portion and my cup; you have made my lot secure. The boundary lines have fallen for me in pleasant places; surely I have a delightful inheritance.” Psalm 16:5-6
This verse came to mind this morning as I am attending a Leader’s Retreat for Bible Study Fellowship in Southern California. God is gracious to bring me to pleasant places so that I may worship Him more fully and learn more about Him. As I struggle to understand the hard things of life, I am secure in the knowledge of who holds my future and where He has placed me is exactly where I need to be today. God has made the boundaries of my life and this is a promise that I can claim with HOPE! If we do not understand the events of our lives, we can rest assured He knows us and our inheritance is secure. I love the message of 1 Peter 1:3-4 “Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy he has given us a new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, and into an inheritance that can never perish, spoil or fade-kept in heaven for you.”
Prayer: Lord, thank you for keeping me in just the right place at just the right time. Help me to rest in the assurance of your boundaries on my life and the hope I have in Christ. Thank you that my inheritance in Christ will never end, spoil or be faded by things of the earth. Help me to trust in your boundaries today. Amen.
Loving pleasant places with Him,
Linda
